How to view saved passwords on Firefox

If you’re not prompted by Firefox to save your password when you sign in to a website, you may need to enable the feature. With it, you can use additional useful logging tools.

1. Open Firefox, select menu in the top right corner and select Setting.
2. On the Settings screen, select Privacy & Security left side.
3. Scroll down Login and Password.
4. Tick ​​the first box in the section for Requires saving of logins and passwords for websites.
5. You can then check additional boxes if desired so that Firefox will automatically fill in your login details, suggest strong passwords, and show warnings for offending sites.

On Android, tap Menu button and select Setting. Choose Login and Passwordpick Save login and passwordand choose Request Save.

On iPhone, tap Menu in Firefox and select Password. Turn on the switch for Save login.

Now when you enter your username and password on a website, you will see a prompt from Firefox asking if you want to save that information. If you choose Save, your details will be saved. If you choose Don’t savedetails will not be saved and the site will go into the Exceptions list.

The Exceptions List is suitable for sites like financial institutions or PayPal, where you’d rather enter your password every time than have Firefox save it.

You can view, edit and add exceptions in the same area of ​​Settings where you have enabled password saving.

1. Option Exception inside Login and Password section.
2. You’ll see a list of sites where Firefox doesn’t save your passwords.
   1. To add a website, enter the URL in the box at the top and select Unit.
   1. To delete a website, select it in the list and select Delete website.
   1. To clear the list, select Delete all sites.
3. Pick Save changes at the bottom when you’re done.

You can also view your Exceptions in Firefox on Android. Access Login and Password in Settings and select Exception.

You can view Firefox’s saved passwords in your Settings in two different ways.

• Go to Settings, go to Login and Password and choose Saved login information.
• Open the Firefox menu at the top right and select Password.

Note: If you set up a Master Password (formerly a Master Password), you’ll be prompted for it before viewing your password.

You’ll see all your login information listed on the left side and details on the information you choose on the right side.

You may also see icons next to website logins. Like the example below, breaching websites and vulnerable passwords give you an indicator that you can take action.

On Android, tap Menu button and select Setting. Choose Login and Passwordpick Saved login information. Select one to view details.

On iPhone, tap Menu button and select Password. You will see a list of saved passwords. Select one to view details.

After accessing your saved passwords in Firefox, you can sort or search to find what you need.

At the top left, use the drop-down box next to it Sorted by to see passwords alphabetically by site name or username, last used or modified, or by alert.

To find login details for a specific site, enter a keyword in Looking for login information at the top of the password page.

On Android, tap magnifying glass to search or arrow to sort by name or last used.

On iPhone, type a word or phrase in Filter box at the top.

If you visit a website and change your password in Firefox, you will be prompted to update the stored password. This is a good way to keep your saved passwords up to date.

But if you change your password elsewhere, such as using another web browser or your mobile device, you can also change the password saved in Firefox manually.

Select the website on the left and then select Edit for that site’s login details on the right. Enter your updated username, new password or both and select Save changes.

Another way to change your password is to choose to link to the website directly from your Firefox saved passwords page. Change the password on the site and then accept it when Firefox asks to update the saved password.

On Android, select a login from the list, tap Three dotsand choose Edit. Make your changes and tap tick.

Note: Android will not allow taking a screenshot of a specific login in the Firefox app.

On iPhone, select sign in from the list, tap Editand make your changes. Choose Accomplished when you’re done.

To remove a login, such as a site you no longer visit, select it in the list on the left and select Eliminate On the right. Confirm the deletion by selecting Eliminate once again.

On Android, select a login from the list, tap Three dotsand choose Delete. Confirm by touching Delete back in the pop-up window.

Note: Android will not allow taking a screenshot of a specific login in the Firefox app.

On iPhone, select sign in from the list and select Delete. Confirm by touching Delete back in the pop-up window.

If you want to import your Firefox saved passwords into another web browser or just save a backup copy of them, this is easy to do.

1. Once on your saved passwords page, select Three dots in the top right and select Export login information.

2. You’ll see a prompt that your login details will be in a human-readable format. This is something to keep in mind depending on what you intend to do with the file. To continue, select Export.
